I bought a Gali girl last year and though that although she was cute she wasn't quite worth the price i paid for her, around 75.00 with shipping. Recently i've been seeing dolls that look a lot like her in various places--the Lillian Vernon web site, a toy catalog from a co. called Toys to Grow On, another toy co called Constructive Playthings and a local discount store. I finally bougth a blonde doll from Constructive Playthings and 2 brunette dolls from the discount store. The dolls were all around 20.00 to 30.00 and they seem to be the same as the Gali girl. Maybe they're all made in the same factory in China. I guess it's like buying the generic products in a grocery store. Anyway, they're all nice dolls but not the same quality as AG.
